KHUAN: An Awakening of Spirit

Baci Meditaiton and Blessing Ceremony Installation

Deeply rooted in Lao heritage, Khuan is the living spiritual essence that connects mind, body, and soul. It represents the unseen forces within us that maintain balance and inner harmony. This exhibition explores the sacred return to wholeness through the Baci ceremony—a ritual of calling the Khuan home to offer protection and blessing.

Tradition Laos Scrolls

Located in the Siam Paragon Shopping Centre, the XYZ ART and Cultural Centre’s Khuan exhibition will focus on the research of Ms. Noksalika Phommavanh and the contemporary installations of Mr. Tomi Sithammarath. This exhibition invites visitors to experience Khuan beyond ritual. The space is further enriched by community-crafted blessing messages—words of care, memory, and intention—delicately designed by Lao artists Mr. Kaiyasith Sirivongsaand Mr. Reming Vongphachanh.
